About Us

Essential for Living (EFL) is a functional life skills curriculum and framework designed to improve quality of life for individuals with moderate to severe disabilities. EFL prioritizes skills that matter most for safety, autonomy, communication, health, dignity, and meaningful participation in daily life.

What distinguishes EFL is not only the curriculum itself, but the team of clinicians, educators, and collaborators who continue to develop, implement, and refine it across schools, clinics, and communities worldwide.
